Lighting is, of course, a necessity in our homes and proper care should be taken in providing good lighting for various tasks.

Lighting is also an important decorative feature. Not only are the fixtures or lampls themselves a decorative feature, but the light they produce can greatly affect the mood of a room.

As we select lighting for our various rooms, the first thing to consider is just what the lighting is supposed to do.

The lighting for a living area would be expected to do different things than the light used in a hobby room where lighting would probably be closely focused to a specific area and much brighter in order to perform a certain task.
