Remodeling can be done on a do-it-yourself basis if you have the time and skill, or it can be done by contracting the work out if you feel unqualified or lack the time to do it yourself. Before hiring a contractor, have some definite idea what you are willing to spend, what you want to acomplish, and who you are contracting the remodel to. Get references, or hire someone who has worked for a friend or acquaintance and done a satisfactory job, and within a reasonable time frame. |
